OUR CNC GUIDEBOOK FOR COVID
January 2022
We understand that we are living in unprecedented times. For two years we have all had to drastically alter our lifestyles, and it has certainly taken its toll on society. It has also been a difficult and challenging time for us here at Camp No Counselors.
As you know, our whole purpose is to bring people together and build connections, and as Covid-19 wreaked havoc on the world it has been difficult to be able to fulfill our core purpose.
We have navigated strategically, and patiently, to weather the force of Covid’s destruction. With vaccinations, boosters and testing, Camp No Counselors is confidently moving forward to host successful and safe summer camp events in 2022.
We all need camp more than ever.
We do respect however, that not all of us will be quite there yet in relation to comfortability in a group setting. This difference in each individual's comfortability will be the challenge that our society will face over the following months. We encourage you to do only what makes you feel comfortable. We would love for you to join us, and below we have outlined steps we have taken to run our events sensibly moving forward.
As part of our efforts to help mitigate the risk of COVID at camp, we have compiled this document for your review.
We have worked alongside our camp directors, summer camp task forces, the American Camp Association, local and state representatives and our own private health expert consultants, to devise a comprehensive game plan for how to bring back Camp No Counselor safely. This page will layout new protocols and procedures that will be in place until further notice.
We are here to answer your questions and we look forward to our community being together again. Finally, and most importantly, the health and safety of our community is everyone’s responsibility. We can create the blueprint, but we cannot execute it alone.
This moment in time relies on every one of us, staff & campers, to play a part in ensuring the health of our community.

FAQs
Are there Medical Services?
General first aid supplies will be provided as needed. Our camp directors and first responders on staff will be available to assist you or refer you to local medical facilities if additional medical treatment is necessary. Campers are responsible for bringing their own OTC and prescription medications to CNC events.
Can we leave camp to go into town?
No. We respectfully ask that you stay on camp for the duration of the event. If you choose to leave camp, you can not return to the event.
Will I need to Social Distance?
No, we also understand that this is a social event and it will not be enforced. At certain camp activity areas our camp staff will be following physical distancing guidelines for both the health and safety of our guests and staff. We believe that we are able to strike a balance that enables campers to feel safe in their surroundings while enjoying the spirit and magic of the camp experience.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Campers are not required to wear masks for the duration of their stay. The only time we would respectfully ask that campers wear a mask is when in close proximity to the camp staff, where healthy physical distancing cannot be maintained, e.g. at the ropes course when a staff member is harnessing a guest, however after the harnessing is complete, and the staff member can maintain some distance, the mask can then be removed.
What are the protocols for the staff?
Staff members have mandatory daily temperature tests.
What about Cleaning and Sanitizing?
A deep cleaning of each bunk will happen prior to arrival. Although no personal cleaning service is available throughout your stay, cleaning supplies will be available in each bunk for campers to use at their desire. Our camp staff are responsible for all activity sanitation however we ask for guest compliance with regular sanitation etiquette at certain activity areas e.g. Fitness Center. We strongly encourage bringing a good supply of portable hand sanitizer with you. Our camps will also provide handwashing stations and sanitizer throughout campus as well.
